New Fema mapping changes effect buyers and sellers NOW!
Very important changes have taken place in mapping a flood zone which are effecting both buyers and sellers. It could mean weeks of waiting for a ruling on actual cost of your flood insurance and many hundreds or thousands of dollars in expenses. If you plan on selling or buying and the house needs a flood insurance, speak with your agent immediately and ask what needs to be done. New rules of 10/1/13 are already effecting buyers in sellers in a huge way.
