Sellers - How to choose a Realtor to represent you part 2

Here are several other additional questions to consider when choosing a Realtor:

  • How long have they been a real estate professional?
  • and more importantly how many homes do they sell on an average each year?
  • How soon do their homes sell – average number of days on the market?
  • Do they know what is the average day on the market for that particular area?
  • Do they work full or part time?
  • How long have they been working in this particular area?
  • What is their knowledge of local trends?
  • How will they keep you informed of progress?
  • How much of their business comes from repeat customers or referrals?
  • Do they have references from previous clients?
  • How often can you expect to be updated, regardless of any progress?
The most important thing is that you find a Realtor who understand your needs and that you feel comfortable with.  Selling a home is a team effort and you must feel good about talking to this person day in and out during this process.

Spring cleaning and clearing out

Spring is the best time of the year to refresh, re-new, clean up and clear out ares in our home, office, computer...

With longer days, more sunshine, birds cherping and spring flowers in their glory we find that indoor spaces need a new look as well. What a better time than this to clear out and organize.

Annette Reyman of Alright Organizing has many great ideas and she is speaking at Springfield Township Library tonight. We all have these few items we don't know what to do with she can help! I know she can, my clients and myself can vouch for it. She made our life easier on more than one occasion.

This is a free event and a great deal of useful information. Hope to see you there.

3 Things each seller needs know when choosing a Realtor

When choosing a Realtor know this:

1.  Is he or she a Realtor R.  Realtors have a higher code of ethics.

2.  Do they follow present market trends, or are they working off of last years' information and old experiences

3.  Do they know how to help you in pricing your home correctly for today's market and how to guidke you to prepare your home  for the maximum bottom dollar?

Very important decision - warrants some research to find the right person.

Properly priced and properly prepared homes sell even in this market fast and for a fare price!

Use and Occupancy Permits and Requirements

Sellers most of the time need to provide a certificate of Use and Occupancy at settlement.  You have requested a  "to do" lists for Use and Occupancy permits.  Most townships have these available to you on line.  Here are a couple of local links which provide a copy of Use and Occupancy application, procedures and criteria:
