You have decided to sell your home on your own. Now what? Selling a home For Sale By Owner requires a great deal of knowledge, research and an amazing amount of work. There are many steps that must be taken in order to be successful. In the next few posts I will make an effort to draw a map for you to follow.
Step One - Do your research.
1. Do you know what are the prices and terms of sale in today's market? Conduct a careful research.
2. Investigate recent sales of homes in your immediate area to be sure that if price is achieved your home will appraise - be sure you check with public records, take in account pending settlement properties and any concessions which may have been given or in a sale of homes in your neighborhood for alike homes
3. Establish realistic and competitive price for your property
